The development of the Hurst 5000 Fully Automatic Flying Paster came against the backdrop of spiraling paper and labor costs in the 1980's. By re-evaluating the systems in operation at the time, Hurst design engineers decided that the complex and expensive process of moving paper rolls to effect a splice could be improved. So why not move the web to the roll?
Specifications
The Hurst 5000 / 60 performs roll change at full press operating speed up to 60,000 cph, upgradeable to 70,000 cph.
The Hurst 5000 / 40 performs roll change at full press operating speed up to 40,000 cph.
Available in models to handle 42" (1070mm), 45" (1140mm), and 50" (1270mm) rolls.
Inline, stacked, right-angle, and substructure arrangements are standard.
Free standing, no mechanical connection to press.
